Oh My Darling

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Darling is an imaginary line of craft supplies that I would totally buy if it existed. Clean, hip, feminine, and youthful, Darling is definitely not for grandmas or punk knitters.

I did a couple of spot illustrations, too. And wouldn't you know it, there's even a (very) little bit of process work!

I made a couple of teensy changes, most notably the shape of the thread is a bit more fun and organic.

Eventually, I would like to do some packaging experiments, too. I know what you're thinking, "But Adrienne my dear, won't you ever draw again?" Yes, yes. Don't worry. I'm using my thesis to explore things I never got around to in typical class assignments. It's amazing, but I'm actually enjoying myself :)

Love,
The Letter A

im liking the 'darling' on the top. it has a nice figure/ground relationship and that fabric swatch is a cute touch!

Yeah it's my favorite, too :)

The second one is a stripped down version, I guess if it was going to be used at a smaller size, or not in full color...

Thanks Daniel!
I finally got everything photographed, so there should be a HUGE update in the next week or so :)
